The photo voter id law is now in effect in Texas. Find out what you need to vote, how you can get it, what's being done to fight the law, and how you can help others on our Voter ID page.
Take the Voter ID Quiz to make sure you understand the new requirements.
See Something, Say Something!
Keep an eye on your local jurisdictions (commissioners court, school board, city council, etc.) and your election officials (Election Administrator, County Clerk or Tax Assessor). Now that they don't have to get approval from DOJ before making changes to voting procedures, expect them to try all sorts of shenanigans. Watch for things like voter registration list purges, closing or moving poll locations, cutting voting days and hours, and even cancelling elections. Check out our Greatest Hits page to see what some of them tried to get away with before and are likely to try again.
If you hear of a voting change in your area that will make it more difficult for voters to vote, report it here.
